Overnight Oats | Make Ahead Breakfast Ideas

On busy mornings, it’s so helpful to pull out a ready made meal and pop it into the microwave! One of my favorite breakfasts lately has been overnight oatmeal that I meal prep on Sunday!

This collection of overnight oatmeal has something for everyone. I like mixing it up and making different flavor combinations each week so we don’t get tired of eating the same thing every morning.

If you haven’t tried overnight oatmeal before, you’re in for a treat! I prefer to use old fashioned rolled oats, but steel cut oats work well too! Basically, the night before or even on your meal prep Sunday you’ll add the rolled oats, some liquid, a sweetener, and other toppings to a mason jar.

After adding all of your ingredients into the jar, you’ll screw on the lid and put the jars in the fridge. And you’re done!

My favorite jars for making overnight oats are these wide mouth jars from Ball. I like to use these plastic lids for mason jars when meal prepping too. And by the way, these particular jars are perfect for soups and other meal prep meals too!
